Three Reasons to Journal
1. Daily reflection and self-awareness
Reflection and being self-aware is possibly one of the most important human skills to master. Reflection and self-awareness allow one to become a more compassionate, optimistic person. Preparing a daily journal gives you personal time to reflect on your day, the conversations you had, the interactions and situations you encountered, and most importantly, how you felt about each of those interactions. It allows you to reflect on who you were the day you wrote that journal, and provides a timeline for review later in life.

2. See your progress
Progress is a such an important part of any person’s growth and improvement. Consider reviewing and reflecting on how you have developed over the month, year, or even decades, and whether you are happier now, or were happier at some other point during your journaling journey. Explore how you've changed and why those changes may have happened. Were they for the better or for the worse? Have you attained the goals you set out to achieve throughout the years? A journal can help you see and keep track of how your life has progressed throughout the years.
3. Reflect on who you were
Journaling provides an opportunity to record your personal history, including all your life's accomplishments, milestones, all the events you've attended, decisions you've made and the important people in your life. By remembering those life altering occasions in your life, you can prevent repeating things you may no longer be happy with, and ensure that you continue to grow and become the person you hope to be.
